Water in Glue with Sound

1998年仲夏，某一深夜，站在地下渠蓋 (ref to picture of Cover)上聽到城市地下傳來的聲音，從此以後我開始聆聽和複製這種聲音的習慣。我製造了深夜海邊細浪的聲音 (ref. Sign)，洗衣機的聲音 (ref. Motion)，發夢的聲音 (ref. to series of Pillow)，書本的聲音 (ref. Book)，房間的聲音 (ref. My House), 古代的聲音 (ref. My dear), 音樂盒的聲音 (ref Music Box)…直到都市的噪音再次蓋過了他們。

Late at night during the midsummer of 1998, I stood on the cover of a ditch and heard the sounds of the city from the underground. From then on, I get used to listen the sound and make duplicate of it: the sound of seashore spindrift at midnight (ref. Sign), sound of washing machine (ref. Motion), sound of a dream (ref. to series of Pillow), sound of books (ref. Book), sound of my house (ref. My House), sound of the ancient time (ref. My dear), sound of music box (ref Music Box)…I stopped making them until they’re overwhelmed by the noise of the city.
